ABOUT THIS ROLE

The People and Culture Manager is responsible for a variety of functions within the People Operations department. In partnership with hotel leadership they drive employee engagement, help retention and help implement culture by building initiatives with the hotel. This role is responsible for hiring, employee relations, employee investigations, training, workers compensation, safety and payroll. Primarily implementing each of these specific areas as directed by the corporate office.

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Hotels run on people - and someone has to make sure those people are hired well, supported well, and set up to do their best work. That's you. As our People & Culture Partner, you'll be the go-to HR resource for a Windsor Hospitality property, embedded in the team and trusted by associates and leadership alike. You'll navigate compliance, manage payroll, handle employee relations, champion onboarding, and build programs that make our culture feel real. This role takes a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what needs to happen next - because in hospitality HR, there's always something that does.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

HR Compliance
  • Ensures that HR policies and procedures are being followed by employees.
  • Ensures that labor laws, federal and state laws are being followed and adhered to.
  • Handles employee relation issues as they arise and provides guidance on workplace concerns and conflicts. Works with corporate HR to resolve complex matters.
  • Completes payroll for the property and oversees wage and hour compliance

Recruitment
  • Ensure recruitment platforms are being used fully and efficiently, and job postings are refreshed with the appropriate job postings and appropriate branding is being used.
  • Supports a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, to ensure they integrate appropriately into the hotel culture.

People Operations
  • With hotel leadership and corporate guidance develop and implement programs that help enhance employee satisfaction and reduce turnover.
  • Conduct interviews as appropriate and provide feedback as necessary.
  • Coordinates recognition programs that celebrate team achievements and individual employee accomplishments.
  • Provide news for the Windsor Newsletter by working to capture content.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and general related matters.
  • Submits employee injury reports to Workers' compensation.
  • Helps lead initiatives that enhance team morale and strengthen workplace relationships.
  • Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES YOU BRING
  • Strong Self-Starter Mentality - Proactive, resourceful, and able to take initiative without constant supervision. Comfortable working independently and driving projects forward - required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • At least 5 -7 years of HR or People Operations experience; hospitality background highly preferred.
  • Self-starter mentality - you take initiative, drive projects, and solve problems before they escalate.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred), and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable.


SCHEDULE & HOURS

This position is full-time with schedules that may vary based on business need. Flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, may be required. Specific shift details will be discussed during the interview process.

Salary Description

Range $80,000 to $85,000.
