Position Overview

We are seeking a Pega Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable customer engagement and service solutions for a Federal Civilian Agency. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Pega Customer Service, a working knowledge of Pega CRM/marketing processes, and a proven track record of leading technical teams. Experience with Pega Infinity 25 in an AWS-hosted environment, combined with open-source full-stack development skills, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of Pega-based solutions.
  • Direct and mentor a technical delivery team of 5-10 engineers and developers.
  • Enforce best practices for Pega design, security, integration, performance, and asset reusability.
  • Conduct comprehensive architecture reviews, govern code quality, and provide technical guidance.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams.
  • Translate complex federal business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable application architectures.
  • Facilitate clear communication to align technical execution with agency mission goals and CRM capabilities.

Solution Engineering & Integration
  • Design complex integrations between Pega applications, enterprise systems, APIs, and third-party tools.
  • Oversee deployment strategies, environment planning, and production readiness in cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot high-level platform and application anomalies to engineer permanent architectural improvements.
  • Author rigorous technical documentation, system design artifacts, and implementation blueprints.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements
  • Leadership: Proven track record successfully leading technical teams of 5-10 members.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills suitable for federal stakeholder briefing.
  • Certification: Active Pega certification (Pega Certified Senior System Architect [PCSSA] or Pega Certified Lead System Architect [PCLSA] highly preferred).
  • Experience: Demonstrated success architecting and implementing Pega Customer Service solutions.
  • Domain Knowledge: Working knowledge of CRM frameworks and basic marketing/engagement processes.

Preferred Assets
  • Pega Ecosystem: Direct experience with Pega Infinity 25, specifically within AWS-hosted environments.
  • Full-Stack Development: Background in open-source stacks including Java Spring Boot, Angular, and PostgreSQL.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps coordination.
