Pediatrician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician with a strong pediatric clinical background who enjoys caring for children, adolescents, and young adults in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
About the RoleThe Pediatrician will provide high-quality, age-appropriate care to patients
ages 0-26, with a primary focus on
pediatric and adolescent patients. While the majority of the patient population will be pediatric, the Pediatrician will also evaluate and treat patients across the full 0-26 age range, including work-related injuries and occupational medicine visits when applicable.
The Pediatrician will work closely with other physicians and advanced practice providers and serve as a clinical resource for pediatric care within the center. This role provides an opportunity to help create an exceptional experience for our youngest patients and their families while delivering high-quality, efficient urgent care.
The Perks of Being a University Hospitals Urgent Care Team Member- We are hiring Pediatricians for FT (30 or 36 hours) and PT (24 hours) schedules ONLY. At this time, we do NOT have opportunities for PRN/Per Diem and are NOT hiring new graduates.

What You'll Do- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients ages 0-26, with a primary emphasis on pediatric and adolescent care.
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based medical care in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric and adolescent illnesses, injuries, and acute medical conditions.
- Perform procedures within your scope of practice, including:
- Suturing
- Incision and drainage of abscesses
- Splinting
- Foreign body removal
- Provide age-appropriate treatment and comfort measures for pediatric patients.
- Order, interpret, and appropriately utilize diagnostic studies, including X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory testing.
- Educate patients, parents, caregivers, and team members regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, prevention, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical documentation.
- Ensure appropriate communication and documentation to support quality patient care and reimbursement.
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, medical assistants, and other center team members to provide efficient, high-quality care.
- Serve as a clinical resource for pediatric care within the center.
- Participate in center meetings, operational activities, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain all required medical licenses, certifications, and professional credentials.
- Travel to other University Hospitals Urgent Care centers as needed to support business needs.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What We're Looking For- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Active medical license in the state of practice or ability to obtain licensure
- Current DEA registration
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Strong clinical experience caring for pediatric and adolescent patients
- Experience performing procedures such as suturing and incision/drainage
- Experience interpreting X-rays and EKGs
- Ability to meet University Hospitals Urgent Care credentialing requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative clinical team
- Willingness to travel to other centers as needed
