Full Job Description
The Pediatrician will serve as a clinical leader and subject matter expert for pediatric services across the organization. Working closely with care managers, nurses, social workers, behavioral health providers, therapists, and operational leadership, the Pediatrician will provide clinical guidance, case consultation, and oversight for pediatric patients receiving services through various programs.

The role focuses on supporting quality care delivery, improving patient outcomes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting best practices in pediatric healthcare across the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical oversight and medical leadership for pediatric populations served throughout the organization.
  • Support pediatric patients participating in HCBS, Care Management, Palliative Care, Pain Management, and other pediatric-focused programs.
  • Serve as a clinical consultant and resource to interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Review medical records and provide recommendations regarding treatment plans, care coordination, and service delivery.
  • Conduct clinical reviews and assessments as needed to support patient care and program goals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, utilization reviews, and care planning meetings.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, hospitals, schools, community organizations, and ancillary service providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist in identifying clinical gaps, barriers to care, and opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Provide guidance regarding medically complex pediatric cases, chronic disease management, developmental disabilities, behavioral health concerns, palliative care needs, and pain management strategies.
  • Support compliance with Medicaid, Managed Care, HCBS, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist leadership with clinical program development, pediatric best practices, and quality initiatives.
  • Provide education and support to staff, patients, and families regarding pediatric healthcare needs.

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
  • Active and unrestricted New York State Medical License.
  • Active DEA Registration (if applicable).
  • Minimum of 3 years of pediatric clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience working with medically complex pediatric populations.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Managed Care, Care Management, HCBS, Palliative Care, and community-based healthcare programs preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to family-centered, culturally competent, and patient-focused care.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing clinical oversight or medical direction.
  • Familiarity with pediatric palliative care and pain management principles.
