Qualifications

• 2 years of general pediatric experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant required
• Successful completion of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
• Board certification required for Nurse Practitioners graduating after July 1, 2006
• Current, Unrestricted license to practice medicine in New York or ability to acquire
• Current, Unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain in New York
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Practice evidence-based medicine with a strong emphasis on patient education
• Build and maintain relationships with a diverse patient population
• Work independently while collaborating with a supportive team of pediatricians and nurse practitioners
• Utilize a high-performance administrative system to maximize patient interaction time
• Provide care in a no hospital rounding or on-call environment
• Split work between the East Village and Lower East Side Office
