Ericsson is hiring a People Business Partner specializing in industry relations and Canadian Employment Law to join the People team for Hosted Units North America. This impactful role will focus on advising on union-related matters, employment law compliance across Canadian provinces, and performing core responsibilities of a People Business Partner. Role Summary Ericsson is hiring a People Business Partner specializing in industry relations and Canadian employment law to support various business units at Ericsson. This role emphasizes proactive union engagement, employment law compliance across Canadian provinces, and delivery of core People Business Partner responsibilities across various HR disciplines. Key Responsibilities Industry Relations & Union Leadership - Advise leaders on union matters and employment-law compliance across Canadian provinces; ensure alignment with collective bargaining agreements and local regulatory frameworks. - Design strategies and internal guidelines for engaging with unions and managing employment-related risks; proactively assess legislative changes and mitigate risks. - Serve as labor relations subject-matter expert; lead and oversee complex cases and workplace investigations in coordination with HR and Legal. - Partner with leaders on employee relations, performance management, and people strategy to adhere to directives and local laws. - Support collective bargaining planning and negotiation readiness with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Operations, Finance). Join our Team People Business Partner Deliverables - Provide strategic coaching to leaders, support reorganizations and communications for senior leaders and below. - Implement and follow up on global/local programs and policies; review and close remediation actions. - Consult on compensation/promotion; inspire leaders to strengthen feedback culture and IPM. - Assist with sub-unit Talent Reviews and unit-specific programs. - Collaborate within the People Business Partner model with Subject Matter Experts (Total Rewards, PeopleAnalytics & AI, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development) to deploy solutions. - Execute HR support including system processing, voluntary/involuntary terminations, rehire/relocation support, compliance/quarterly metrics tracking, and monthly leader slides. - Leverage AI-enabled tools and insights to enhance People Business Partner delivery. Employment Law & Compliance - Leverage expertise in Canadian employment laws and regulations for policy creation, implementation, and compliance advisory to leaders. Qualifications & Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's preferred. - 3 to 5 years of progressive Human Resource Business Partner experience. - Demonstrated experience in union negotiations (collective bargaining), with proven ability to plan and engage effectively with union stakeholders. - Proven experience with Canadian employment laws/policies and collective bargaining agreements. - Experience managing labor relations and complex cases; proficiency in leading workplace investigations. - Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, coaching, and consulting skills; ability to build cross-functional relationships in a matrixed environment. - Fluency in English; French proficiency is preferred. - CHRP designation is an asset. - Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a matrixed, global organizational setting. - Proficiency in understanding artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and tools, including generative AI applications, to harness their potential for optimizing business processes, enabling innovation, and mitigating associated risks. - Flexibility to take on stretch assignments in other areas of business. Your Pay The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience. The salary range for this position is $79,000 - $103,425 per year Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply. Core level coverage is paid for fully by Ericsson. Your Financial Security We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson's Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee's contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee's contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage at two-times annual base pay at no cost, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan. Your Time Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, at least 3personal days, minimum 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
