Responsibilities

Payroll Systems Manager

In this vital role, the Payroll Systems Manager will lead the payroll team and provide technical leadership on HRIS systems for payroll operations.

The Payroll Systems Manager will:
  • manage payroll processes through software systems from timekeeping to accounting and all related payroll reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • analyze, improve, and update end-to-end timekeeping and payroll workflows by understanding business needs and collaborating with HR and finance teams
  • supervise and prepare the payroll process with the team to ensure a timely and accurate biweekly payroll from time entry to completion of funding
  • review configurations affecting payroll and tests payroll/timekeeping functionality. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and risk reduction; implement best practices and continuous improvements
  • collaborate with software vendors and HR teams to troubleshoot and resolve system performance gaps and payroll related issues
  • run and review audit reports to ensure accuracy of payroll data
  • participate in audits, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
  • manage all payroll data related to journal entry preparation, accruals, expense etc.
  • demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and to streamline work processes
  • manage payroll related year end processes, i.e., closing payroll year, finalizing W2 etc.
  • support the CFO and other Finance leadership in completion of business-critical activities about payroll data


This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of all aspects of payroll.

Salary: $85,000 - $87,000/year depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
