Payroll Specialist

Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Payroll Specialist that will be able to work within a fast-paced internal shared services environment for biweekly payroll of 14,000 members within the US and overseas ex pats with expected growth possible.

Candidates proximate to Fairfax, VA will be considered and a hybrid model is acceptable. Partners should be prepared to work in the CGI office on a rotational basis.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

He/she will support the biweekly payroll processes within an in-house payroll system or other payroll processing for all corporate entities, processing of manual adjustments; regular and ad hoc reporting requirements, coordination with necessary taxing and other agencies related to payroll, etc. Duties to include but not limited to new hires, terminations, importing of various payroll data, quarterly and annual analysis, and garnishments. Calculate and/or research/resolve complex payroll/labor issues. Support the establishment and implementation of policies, procedures, works standards and controls to ensure compliance. Analysis of payroll processes and meeting of payroll compliance requirements, payroll report preparation and analysis; Advanced analytics performed as needed; articulate and comprehensive communication to senior management on necessary written or verbal payroll communications. Must be able to work independently; be detail oriented and organized; and be able to work on many different projects at one time.

Coordinates with Human Resources and Accounting to assure seamless and timely integration of information. Interfaces with internal and external auditors, providing information and documentation as required. Other duties as specified by Corporate Payroll Manager.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years payroll processing in a fast pace large company multi state labor/payroll environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. CPP or FPC designation strongly preferred.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under strict deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal and strong oral and written communication skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Display responsible and professional leadership.

Strong ability to provide a very high level of customer service.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $51,600.00 $121,100.00.
