Full Job Description
We are seeking a Payroll Analyst for our First Quality Enterprises, LLC office located in Great Neck, NY. The Payroll Analyst is responsible for accurate computing, withholding, and deductions associated with net earnings. Reviews the computation of pay and ensures the company payroll policies are in accordance with the government regulations. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks. Organizes and reviews forms associated with federal, state, and local authorities, such as W-2s.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Transmission of multi-state weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple companies

  • Reconciles payroll each pay period for hours, earnings and deductions

  • Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll related matters

  • Maintaining employee records

  • Coordinating with HR to ensure correct employee data

  • Assist with system maintenance: calendars, bonus processing

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within payroll, changesin wage and tax laws

  • Provide reports to finance and other departments as necessary

  • Audits timekeeping records for compliance with established policies and procedures, as necessary

  • Other duties, as may be required

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience

  • Experience in payroll accounting and posting of weekly payroll journal entries

  • 3-5 years payroll and tax experience

  • Workday experience helpful, but not required

  • Must have multi-state payroll experience and solid grasp of payroll rules

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including advanced experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Strong team skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must be detail oriented

Estimated annual base salary range for this position is$80,000 6,000.

Base pay is only part of our total compensation package, which also includes an attractive annual discretionary bonus and robust suite of employee benefits for which you are eligible to participate in starting on your first day of employment.

Base pay offered will be determined on an individualized basis and we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
