What you will enjoy doing*- Post monthly payroll interface files from the payroll system to the General Ledger
- Partner with HR Payroll to identify and fix General Ledger account coding issues and resolve payroll data discrepancies before posting
- Generate monthly payroll expense reports for Controllers and key stakeholders
- Process union remittances for dues, Health & Welfare, and pension payments with strict compliance to collective bargaining agreements
- Process and prepare vendor invoices related to employee benefits for payment
- Reconcile payroll and benefit accounts on a monthly basis
- Maintain and update procedural documentation
- Support additional general accounting tasks as needed
What makes you great - Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field such as Finance or Business Administration, with at least one year of accounting experience
- Use advanced Excel skills to support accounting tasks and analysis
- Apply working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Power BI, and ERP systems like JD Edwards and Oracle Analytics Server
- Research and resolve moderate accounting issues with minimal guidance
- Use strong analytical thinking along with clear verbal and written communication skills
- Learn new processes and concepts quickly to support changing business needs
- Apply accounting principles to prepare journal entries and complete reconciliations
- Contribute effectively in a diverse, inclusive team environment while promoting respect and integrity
