As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role in enabling Agile delivery across cross-functional teams, driving collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement while supporting enterprise-scale transformation programs for our clients across Canada.
Responsibilities:As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for enabling the effective functioning of a software development team using Agile methodologies, with strong Banking/Payments domain knowledge. Your day-to-day activities will include coaching and mentoring the Scrum Team, removing obstacles to ensure smooth progress, and facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. You will also identify and report progress through appropriate metrics.
You will collaborate with and guide the team to perform effectively, engage with multiple stakeholders, contribute to key decisions, and provide solutions to problems within your team and across cross-functional groups.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Remove impediments and manage risks and dependencies to ensure steady delivery and quality
- Track and communicate sprint progress, team velocity, and key performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing Agile best practices across teams
- Foster strong collaboration and alignment across teams and stakeholders
Basic Qualifications• A bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, information systems, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
• Expert proficiency in Banking Payments Applications is required
• Strong expertise in Agile Scrum delivery, methodologies, and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience working in complex, cross-functional delivery environments
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications• Agile certifications such as CSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent
• Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe or similar)
• Proficiency in Agile Scrum Development
• Advanced proficiency in Agile Methodology
• Experience analyzing team performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making
Professional Skills• Strong organizational and stakeholder management capabilities; ability to influence without direct authority
• Ability to drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices across teams
• Strong facilitation and collaboration skills to ensure alignment and transparency
• Ability to manage risks and dependencies to maintain delivery quality and progress
• Champion Agile principles and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and adaptability
