Role Overview
  • Redbridge is seeking an Associate Director to join its US Payments Advisory team, focused on the delivery of payments consulting engagements for enterprise and large merchants.
  • The role is a senior individual contributor position working under a Director accountable for the region. The Associate Director will own substantial components of client engagements while collaborating closely with the Director on overall engagement direction.
  • The role requires deep practical expertise in the US domestic card processing landscape, particularly on the merchant and acquiring side.


Key Responsibilities - Client Delivery
  • Deliver payments advisory workstreams within complex engagements.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on US domestic card processing, merchant acquiring, and card economics.
  • Lead analyses of card acceptance costs, pricing structures, and processing contracts.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations, models, and recommendations.
  • Participate in client meetings and workshops.
Pre-Sales & Commercial Support
  • Support Directors and Sales colleagues in pre-sales discussions.
  • Contribute to proposal development and engagement scoping.
  • Help articulate Redbridge's value proposition in payments strategy and analytics.


Experience & Qualifications
  • 6-10+ years of experience in merchant payments, card processing, or merchant acquiring.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of the US domestic card processing ecosystem.
  • Experience in payments consulting, acquiring, or large merchant environments.
  • Ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
Skills & Competencies
  • Deep technical understanding of US merchant payments and card processing.
  • Demonstrable experience optimizing interchange fees, network fees, and knowledge of associated network rules and regulations.
  • Practical experience implementing compliant surcharging and convenience fee frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of fraud detection and prevention strategies and chargeback handling processes.
  • Prior experience implementing pinless debit routing strategies.
  • Understanding of payments strategy pitfalls and opportunities in the context of client ERP implementations.
  • Acquirer and client negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication with senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, delivery-focused mindset.
