Toast is looking for a Payments Pricing & Operations Analyst II to play an integral role in scaling Toast's rapidly growing business. In this role, you'll partner closely with Sales, Legal, and Finance to review strategic deals, help structure sound commercial and pricing terms, and keep deal reviews moving efficiently through to close. You'll build deep expertise in Toast's payments pricing and card processing structures, using that knowledge to guide deal strategy, manage the inclusion of customized contract terms, and track contractual financial commitments from start to finish. Over time, you'll take on more pricing responsibilities - from direct customer and prospect pricing conversations to pricing operations process improvement, expanding your scope and impact over time. A day in the life (Responsibilities) • Support the review of strategic deals in coordination with cross-functional partners, helping ensure sound commercial and pricing decisions • Become an expert in card processing pricing, including market pricing strategies, interchange, network/scheme fees, and other processing costs • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, and other teams to keep deal reviews moving efficiently and on schedule • Manage the inclusion of customized contract terms within established guidelines • Support the tracking and fulfillment of contractual financial commitments • Manage customer requests related to payments pricing and billing, including direct customer conversations and rate analysis • Support the sales team as a subject matter expert on Toast's payment solutions and pricing structure • Use Salesforce and Excel daily to manage deal flow and reporting What you'll need to thrive (Requirements) • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or related fields required • 2-4 years of experience in an analytical, deal support, or operations role, ideally with cross-functional exposure • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deals, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously without losing accuracy or pace • Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing contract terms and pricing structures • An inquisitive nature and a mathematical/analytical mind • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with various internal stakeholders • Experience contributing to department level strategic initiatives from conception to delivery • Demonstrated experience identifying potential process improvement opportunities to derive operational efficiencies • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving instincts • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a high growth, fast-paced environment What will help you stand out (Nonessential Skills/Nice to Haves) • Experience in the card processing industry • Experience in Relationship Management or other similar client facing function • Experience working with large data sets and querying relational databases via SQL, and leveraging analytics tools such as Sigma or Hex • Experience in a high growth tech company • Experience using Salesforce or another Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) and related reports and dashboards AI at Toast At Toast, one of our company values is that we're hungry to build and learn. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.
