Duties & Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the revenue cycle operations dental facilities at H+H for all acute and FQHC facilities.

General tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Operational leader of unit responsible for dental revenue cycle operations. Includes billing, denial and follow-up activities.
  • Ensure unit is addressing billing and follow-up actions timely and efficiently and workqueues are maintained
  • Monitor denials for trends in payer actions and develop strategies to avoid denials and takebacks
  • Address gaps in cash posting by the hospital units timely
  • Identify patterns in claims not paid or denied and address with payers
  • Address credits and underpayments and work with Epic systems teams to automate interventions
  • Coordinate with Manage Care on increases and changes to payer contracted rates and issues with improper claims denials
  • Direct and review unit productivity and scheduling to maximize productivity and recommend changes where necessary
  • Train, instruct, and monitor staff in the performance of their responsibilities on an ongoing basis to assure unit performance


Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related discipline; and 2.Three (3) years of experience in accounting, finance or business administration; one (1) year of which must have been in a responsible supervisory or managerial capacity managing accounts or credits.
