Responsibilities

  • Support the Anatomic Pathology Department under supervision of Medical or Laboratory Director.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of specimens.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and procedural guidelines.
  • Collaborate with staff to optimize laboratory efficiencies.
  • Participate in quality assurance and control processes.

Compensation

Salary Range: $40.90 - $56.94 / hour

 

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

Under the supervision and direction of the Medical Director and/or Laboratory Director, the Pathologists’ Assistant provides support to the Anatomic Pathology Department.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent
  • Training in a Pathologists Assistant program and/or on the job experience in lieu of certification

 

Preferred:

  • Six (6) plus months’ recent hospital experience
  • Certification in PA (ASCP)
