We are looking for an experienced and driven
Parts Director to lead the Parts Department at a high-volume Toyota dealership in the Dallas area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the pace of a busy dealership and knows how to build a strong, profitable, and well-organized Parts operation.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage a large inventory, support a high-volume Service Department, develop a team, and maximize parts sales while maintaining excellent customer and internal service.
What You'll Do:- Lead and oversee all daily operations of the Parts Department in a high-volume dealership environment.
- Manage and develop Parts team members, including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
- Maintain proper inventory levels while minimizing obsolescence, shortages, and unnecessary expenses.
- Oversee retail, wholesale, internal, and special-order parts operations.
- Monitor department sales, gross profit, expenses, inventory turns, and other key performance metrics.
- Work closely with the Service, Sales, and Accounting departments to ensure smooth dealership operations.
- Monitor and improve parts ordering, receiving, stocking, returns, and special-order processes.
- Identify opportunities to increase parts sales and improve department profitability.
- Ensure the department follows Toyota and dealership policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Help create a team culture focused on accountability, teamwork, efficiency, and exceptional service.
What You'll Need:- Previous Parts Manager or Parts Director experience in an automotive dealership.
- Experience working in a high-volume dealership is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dealership parts operations, inventory management, and wholesale/retail parts sales.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong understanding of Parts Department financials, gross profit, expenses, and inventory control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with dealership parts management and DMS systems.
- Toyota experience is highly preferred, but strong dealership Parts leadership experience will be considered.
