Full Job Description
Partnerships Project Lead

The Role

As the Partnerships Lead, you will serve as the connective tissue between Metriport and the various partners core to our comprehensive product offering. Currently, Metriport connects to a number of vital data sources for our healthcare customers, including but not limited to national networks, state HIEs, and laboratory data sources.

You will be a highly collaborative individual contributor who identifies internal needs that can be solved via partnerships efforts. This team member will ruthlessly execute on building win-win partnerships in the space. You'll be held accountable for achieving measurable results that enable our organization and customers to provide better care to their patients.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Network Growth: Building new partner and vendor relationships from scratch while also owning and scaling existing relationships.
  • Consensus Building: Acting as an expert negotiator who can identify friction points in partnerships and quickly turn them into mutually beneficial opportunities.
  • Strategic Execution: Managing the partnership lifecycle from initial outreach and contract negotiation through technical integration and long-term maintenance.
  • Ruthless Prioritization: While opportunities to partner with additional organizations are plentiful, prioritizing the highest impact partnerships and ensuring results is vital.
  • Technical Deep Dives: Maintaining an understanding of the product's technical aspects, including how partner data models and integration requirements impact our platform.

Requirements
  • Partnership Experience: 3+ years of building partnerships with external parties from scratch and managing a book of partners (ideally ~50 partners).
  • Healthcare Domain: 3+ years of experience within the healthcare space; specific experience in healthcare interoperability is a significant bonus.
  • Contract Management: Proven track record of negotiating and managing complex contracts and vendor SLAs.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to work through hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks and lay out arguments in well-structured, data-informed narratives.
  • Autonomy: Comfortable taking an ambiguous objective, breaking it down to ensure alignment, identifying the most efficient way to accomplish it, and executing.
  • Location: Based in San Francisco (or willing to relocate) to work from our South Beach office.
  • The "Metriport" Mindset: Low ego, high ownership. You are someone who asks "Why can't this be done in 3 days?" instead of 3 weeks.

Benefits
  • Equity: Competitive equity + compensation package
  • Healthcare: Full family Platinum health insurance, dental, and vision coverage 🦷
  • Retirement: 401(k) retirement plan + matching
  • Flexibility: Flexible work from home or in-office
  • Food: Healthy lunches complimentary when in-office (and breakfast + dinners as needed) 🍏
  • Team: Quarterly company off-sites with the team
  • Gear: MacBook provided by us
  • PTO: Unlimited PTO (we work hard, but trust you to take the time you need to be at your best)
