What you'll doThe Partnerships team manages Brex's partner relationships across payment networks and partner banks. The team's work is core to Brex's product development and strategic roadmap, enabling Brex to build the financial products and services that it offers to its customers. You will work on key strategic initiatives such as identifying new partners, negotiating agreements, overseeing existing partnerships, and working cross functionally with product, finance, legal, and engineering to help Brex reach its objectives.
Where you'll workThis role will be based in our San Francisco office. You must be willing to work in office at least 3 days per week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year, for a minimum of 1 week at a time.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day relationship operations with key partners
- Manage regular reporting and relationship touch points with partners such as quarterly business reviews and ad-hoc reporting
- Identify potential new partners and lead assessment process to evaluate fit
- Execute contract renewals and amendments with existing partners
- Support onboarding of new partners and integration with Brex operations
- Track, analyze, resolve, and escalate operational issues with partners as needed
- Build financial models to assess deal and transaction economics
- Support development of product and partnership roadmaps
- Partner cross-functionally with legal, engineering and product to drive results
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- 4+ years' of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, partnerships, or strategic operations
- Experience in a role that requires rigorous financial and business analytics and strategic thought
- Experience working with external counterparties to develop partnerships and structure transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write, create presentations, and present to Brex's executives and external partners
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for what you're building
Bonus points- Previous experience working at a FinTech
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and thinking outside the box to solve problems
- Knowledge of how domestic and cross-border payments work
- Familiarity with card networks
CompensationThe expected salary range for this role is $155,488-$194,360 USD in our SF, and NYC locations. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package
