This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.
The SAIL (Streamlined Automation & Innovation Launchpad) team is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP) and works across three areas: automating large-scale partner programs to eliminate manual review cycles, enabling partners to build and ship GenAI products, and accelerating customer production workloads through partner AI capabilities. Every team member writes production code. The tech stack centers on agentic AI services (Bedrock, AgentCore, MCP), serverless infrastructure, and evaluation-driven development.
This role has two pillars. First, you work with engineering teams and co-build AI agents that replace multi-week manual partner-program processes with minutes of automated assessment. Second, you co-build with partners on prioritized AI use cases and drive customer success, leading PoC engagements end-to-end from the first discovery call through working code through the final executive readout. Production code, multi-agent architecture design, and direct communication with partner leadership are all part of the daily work.
You own your assigned workstreams with limited guidance. You make architecture decisions within established patterns, communicate directly with partner engineering and business leaders, and are accountable for the technical outcomes of your engagements. When ambiguity arises, you define the path forward rather than waiting for direction.
Key job responsibilities
Co-build AI agents with APO engineering
Work with engineering teams to design, build, and deploy AI agents that automate partner-program processes: technical validations, competency assessments, contract review, co-sell workflows, and MSP tooling.
Architect externalization pipelines that move agents from internal proof-of-concept into Partner Central, where they run against live partner workflows.
Develop multi-agent orchestration using AWS Bedrock, AgentCore, and MCP servers
Integrate agents with Partner Central platform APIs and federation layers
Improve agent accuracy and decision quality through prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and evaluation passes
Contribute infrastructure-as-code patterns, shared evaluation suites, and reusable agent templates that multiply team output
Co-build with partners and drive customer success
Own the full engagement lifecycle for your assigned partner engagements: discovery, architecture, build, delivery, and executive readout
Design solution architectures and build-specs for agentic AI workloads
Build working code (serverless, event-driven, multi-agent) and run evaluation passes to validate quality before delivery
Deliver agentic AI workshops that walk partner engineering teams through architecture, development, and deployment patterns
Create reusable assets that scale to many partners
Drive customer outcomes through partner-attached AI workloads
A day in the life
Check engagement status and answer technical questions on Slack. Join architecture calls to validate partner designs. Write agent code (Lambda handlers, Step Functions orchestration, Bedrock configurations) and push to shared repositories. Run evaluation suites and tune prompts until quality targets are met. Run a hands-on workshop for partner engineers. Ship an agents that automates a program-review workflow. Write an architecture document or discovery summary. Collaborate with other PSAs on customer opportunities where partner attachment drives revenue. Bring partner feedback directly to an AWS service team.
