Job Description
As the Partner Recruitment Manager, you will play a key role in expanding Sage's Value-Added Reseller (VAR) ecosystem by identifying, recruiting, and supporting high-quality partners. This position involves a blend of strategic planning, pipeline generation, program execution, and hands-on project management. To excel in this role, you will need strong business acumen, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to work with both strategic insight and tactical precision.

*This is a hybrid office environment, requiring three days in the office each week.

Key Responsibilities
VAR Recruitment & Pipeline Development:
• Identify, source, and recruit high-potential VARs aligned to Sage's target market and growth objectives.
• Conduct prospecting activities including outbound outreach, industry networking, event representation, and digital campaign collaboration.
• Manage a structured recruitment pipeline to ensure quality partner candidates and predictable growth.
• Conduct discovery calls and qualification assessments to evaluate partner fit (capabilities, markets, financials, culture).
• Develop business cases and partner success projections to support onboarding recommendations.

Strategy Development & Execution:
• Build the Canadian VAR recruitment strategy for Sage Intacct, Sage X3 and Sage 300 in partnership with Channel leadership.
• Develop territory and segment-based partner recruitment plans.
• Identify white space, competitive displacement opportunities, and areas of ecosystem expansion.
• Convert strategy into actionable quarterly and annual plans with measurable outcomes.
• Monitor KPIs, refine recruitment programs, and adjust tactics based on performance insights.

Partner Onboarding & Enablement Collaboration:
• Transition newly recruited VARs smoothly into onboarding workflows.
• Collaborate with enablement, operations, and marketing teams to ensure partners activate quickly and successfully.
• Provide early-stage guidance to set expectations around revenue goals, capability development, and engagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Channel Sales and Operations to ensure alignment between recruitment plans and Sage's core priorities.
• Partner with Channel Marketing to develop targeted recruitment campaigns and value proposition materials.
• Contribute insights to partner program enhancements and ecosystem evolution.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives:
• New market entry assessments
• Competitive displacement initiatives
• Program launches
• Improvements to partner recruitment processes
• Ecosystem diversification initiatives
• Serve as a cross-functional project lead where channel growth is a key objective.

Reporting & Insights:
• Maintain accurate tracking of recruitment KPIs, pipeline stages, and conversion metrics.
• Deliver regular reporting to Channel leadership.
• Analyze performance data to recommend optimization initiatives.
