Full Job Description
Our team, Partner Engineering, is looking for impact-focused, entrepreneurial engineers who are ready to bring their ideas and make a difference. We apply our engineering skills and business savvy to solve challenges at the intersection of business and innovation in many of today's Content industry and products. These include Facebook, Instagram, Reels, Threads, Meta AI, and many more. We are engineers, and we write scalable, high performance code across Meta's products to ship new solutions that address partners' opportunities and challenges. We also design and deliver technical solutions critical to our partners' success. In doing so, we help partners realize the full value of working with the Meta family of apps, focusing on helping them grow their business with us while reducing the effort and investment to leverage our platforms. As a Partner Engineer, you will get the opportunity to see the business impact of the solutions you build with our partners. You will get to learn and build on different tech stacks and languages. You will use your entrepreneurial passion and the freedom that the role provides to create your own opportunities and choose how you make an impact. In short, it's like being the engineering lead in a startup. This role includes a combination of partner-facing time to understand their technical and business needs, and then code solutions to address those needs. That coding output should leverage AI during development and usage as a platform accelerator to help partners and Meta achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical partner for a portfolio of strategic partners integrating with Meta's platform APIs, guiding them from onboarding through to scaled production deployment
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical integration issues across Meta's APIs, SDKs, and data pipelines, collaborating with internal engineering teams to drive resolutions
• Analyze partner integration health and product usage metrics to identify opportunities for adoption growth, performance improvements, and new feature enablement
• Translate partner business requirements into technical specifications and work with internal product and engineering teams to influence roadmap prioritization
• Develop and maintain integration documentation, technical guides, and best-practice resources that scale partner success across the ecosystem
• Lead technical reviews and integration audits for partner launches, ensuring compliance with Meta's platform policies and quality standards
• Build and maintain trusted working relationships with technical counterparts at partner organizations, acting as a reliable escalation path for high-priority issues
• Work with partners to develop a long- term strategic plan, grounded on business objectives, and manage partners during integrations with Facebook's platform products and ensure value creation
• Represent Meta and our products, APIs, and tools in partner meetings and industry events
• Identify systemic gaps in partner tooling or support processes and design scalable solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Share knowledge and technical insights with peers to elevate the team's capability and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
• Leverage AI-integrated workflows to accelerate partner diagnostics, documentation, and solution development, sharing learnings to scale adoption across the team

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, partner engineering, or technical solutions engineering

• Experience with open source languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby, Objective-C/C++, Swift, Java, Kotlin, or C#
• Experience integrating with or building on top of web or mobile APIs, SDKs, or data platforms, including debugging and troubleshooting complex integration issues
• Experience using data and metrics to identify trends, surface insights, and drive technical or business decisions
• Experience communicating technical concepts and integration guidance in writing to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience managing multiple concurrent partner or customer engagements, prioritizing based on business impact and technical complexity

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience with backend development in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, and familiarity with data pipeline or event-tracking architectures
• Experience working on multi-person code bases including open source or personal projects
