Partner, Call Planning & Alignments

Purpose & Scope

The Partner, Call Planning & Alignments is responsible for supporting the design, execution, and ongoing maintenance of call planning and territory alignment solutions that enable effective field deployment and customer coverage. Reporting to Lead, Sales Operations, this role partners closely with Field Operations, Field and Brand Analytics, CRM, and Strategic Platforms teams to ensure call plans and alignments are accurate, timely, and aligned with commercial strategy.

This role plays a critical executional role in translating business requirements into operational call plans and alignments, supporting governance and change management processes, and ensuring field teams are enabled with clear, consistent deployment guidance.

Role and Responsibilities

Call Planning and Alignment Support
  • Support the development, execution, and maintenance of call plans and territory alignments in accordance with approved business rules and governance standards.
  • Assist in translating brand, franchise, and field strategy requirements into operational call planning and alignment outputs.
  • Support testing, validation, and deployment of call plan and alignment updates, including restructures and in cycle changes.
  • Optimize territory workloads by leveraging data to identify opportunities and generate evidence-based workload recommendations. Own alignment and target list refinement initiatives, partnering with the field and ensuring robust pre- and post-processes to maintain data accuracy and optimize user experience.
  • Collaborate with Brand Analytics and Field Leadership to convert brand strategy into clear, actionable call plans for field execution.

Cross Functional Coordination
  • Partner with Field Analytics, CRM, Incentive Compensation, Customer Engagement and Strategic Platforms teams to ensure call plans and alignments are accurately reflected across downstream systems.
  • Support alignment between call planning outputs and CRM configurations, reporting, and field execution workflows.
  • Coordinate with Field Operations leadership to support launch readiness and deployment changes.

Data Quality, Governance, and Documentation
  • Support data quality checks, issue identification, and resolution related to call planning and alignment data.
  • Assist with governance activities, including documentation, approval workflows, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain documentation related to call planning and alignment methodologies, assumptions, and business rules.

Field and Stakeholder Support
  • Serve as a point of contact for field and business stakeholders regarding call planning and alignment questions.
  • Support communications, job aids, and guidance to help field users understand call plans and territory changes.
  • Collect feedback from field teams and stakeholders to support continuous improvement of call planning and alignment processes.
  • Drive Alignment and Targeting related field training programs in collaboration with CL&D and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective adoption.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech sales operations, field operations, call planning, targeting, or territory alignment.
  • Experience supporting call planning and alignment processes in a regulated commercial environment.
  • Working knowledge of call planning, territory alignment, and field deployment concepts.
  • Experience partnering with analytics, CRM, and commercial systems teams to support downstream execution.
  • Familiarity with governance, validation, and change management processes related to field deployment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator, able to support both field users and senior stakeholders.
  • Execution oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple timelines and priorities.

This position is based in Northbrook, Illinois.

Salary Range

$125,090 - $178,700 (Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and organizational equity considerations)
