What You'll Be DoingThis is advanced professional and administrative work in planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the administration, operation, maintenance, and development of the parks system, recreation facilities, recreational programs, and special events for the Town of Leesburg. Work involves responsibility for planning, organizing, coordinating, assigning, and evaluating the work of subordinate staff overseeing operations, maintenance, and administration of the Parks and Recreation Department. First review of applications on October 12, 2026 and an anticipated start date in early-January, 2027. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Public or Business Administration, or other relevant field of study.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible work involving facility management and administration, and thorough experience in the administration of a diversified parks and recreation program; or an equivalent combination of accepted education, training and experience.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Preferred Qualifications - Master's Degree in Parks and Recreation, Public or Business Administration, or other relevant field of study.
- Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP).
- Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE).
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
