Full Job Description
Polsinelli is seeking a Paralegal supporting Real Estate Practice Group. This role's preferred locations include Kansas City, Nashville, Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform and coordinate due diligence, including review of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and underlying documents
  • Preparation of title and survey objection letters. Coordinate with title company and surveyor to reconcile title and survey issues and finalize title pro forma and survey. Analyze and resolve open issues in zoning reports.
  • Assist in preparation and review of real estate conveyance and closing documents
  • Coordinate closing of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and financings, debt and equity transactions including signature page packages and document delivery. Monitor closing checklists and handle recording requirements at closing.
  • Prepare closing books
  • Draft and file UCC financing statements
  • Order and evaluate UCC lien, litigation and similar searches
  • Prepare and file formation documents
  • Draft leases, purchase contracts, easements, deeds, and other real property-related documents
  • Work on special assignments that may require conducting routine factual research, preparing reports and handling associated filings
  • Interface with firm clients and other outside entities regarding assigned matters
  • Execute on the minute details of a project or task, in addition to providing alternative options/solutions to best serve internal and external clients
  • Research and execute on necessary procedures to meet client requests
  • Retrieve, organize, review, analyze, and summarize documents
  • Effectively set priorities, provide timely updates, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects
  • Remain proficient in Microsoft Suite/Outlook, InTapp, iManage, and other programs used in practice area
  • Meticulous time-recording skills to accurately bill clients

REQUIREMENTS
  • Paralegal Certificate or related degree preferred
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Billable requirement: 1600 hours per year
  • 5 days in-office
  • Start time for this role will be either 8:30 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. (Workday hours Monday to Thursday 7.75 hours and Friday 7.5 hours plus overtime when necessary)

The budgeted salary range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives.
