  • Maintain matter-specific files and trackers for construction claims, disputes, legal questions, notice requirements, and other issues requiring Legal Department involvement.
  • Monitor project-specific notice periods, cure periods, claim deadlines, and other legal dates identified by an attorney, and communicate upcoming deadlines to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Gather and organize information and supporting documentation for permit and license applications, regulatory submissions, and responses to governmental inquiries, and coordinate with internal teams and outside professionals as needed.
  • Support construction permitting and regulatory compliance by tracking project-specific permits, licenses, governmental approvals, inspections, conditions, reporting obligations, and renewal or expiration dates.
  • Organize project records relating to delays, schedule impacts, change orders, differing site conditions, payment issues, liens, defective work, warranty matters, and other potential claims or disputes.
  • Prepare factual chronologies, document indexes, claim files, and summaries for attorney review and for use in negotiations, mediation, arbitration, litigation, audits, and internal reviews.
  • Assist attorneys with preparing routine project correspondence, notices, document requests, and supporting materials based on attorney instructions.
  • Conduct directed legal and practical research concerning contractor licensing, construction lien and bond requirements, notice rules, permitting, building and construction requirements, public records, and other construction or development matters.
  • Support document collection, discovery, and coordination with outside counsel, consultants, experts, insurers, contractors, and other third parties on construction-related matters.
  • Support due diligence for acquisitions, site development, financings, and strategic projects by collecting, organizing, and summarizing construction contracts and project records.
  • Assist with other corporate, commercial, and operational legal matters as needed.

This role requires professionalism, respect, strong communication, and the ability to work well with others in a team-oriented, inclusive environment.
