Job Requirements

The University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, a member of the University of Maryland Medical System,is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pain Physician to join the UM SJMC Spine Institute in Towson, Maryland.

  • This physician will join the brand new, state-of-the-art, multispecialty Pain and Spine Center located on St. Joseph Medical Center campus.
  • This pain specialist will work alongside a highly collegial, well-established group of Spine and Pain Management/Interventional
  • Pain physicians, as well as a strong team of APPs. Large, existing patient panel in place with additional growth expected.
  • Physician will expected to perform detailed clinical assessment of patients and formulate a treatment plan. Applicant will be expected to perform interventional procedures - Epidural steroid injections, Facet blocks and Rhizotomy, Major joints injections, Peripheral nerve blocks, Spinal cord stimulation trial and Peripheral nerve stimulations.
  • Opportunity is available for physician to perform Advanced Pain interventional procedure - Minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD), SI joint fusion, Spinal cord stimulation Implant and Basivertebral nerve ablation (BVNA). Mentorship opportunity available for new fellowship graduate to become proficient in these Advanced procedure.
  • Ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in pain management and will be BE/BC in pain.
  • Board-Certified anesthesiologists specializing in Pain are highly encouraged to apply.
  • EPIC EMR
