Description

Paid Social Specialist (Buying) - Social Commerce Pod

We are seeking two Paid Social Specialists to run our Social Commerce business. Each owns a distinct part of the funnel - one focused on media buying and spend allocation, the other on creative testing and iteration - but both are accountable to the same performance outcomes and work closely together to drive affiliate commerce growth. Both sit on the same performance marketing pod and operate as peers.
Paid Social Specialist, Buying

As the Paid Social Specialist, Buying, you are the technical architect of the pod. You work as a peer alongside the Creative Specialist to drive revenue for our affiliate publishing partners. While your counterpart focuses on the what, you own the how and where: the technical infrastructure, bidding logic, and audience targeting that get high-quality content to the right user at the lowest possible cost.

This role is built for a data-first marketer who thrives on technical precision. You'll own the health of the funnel - keeping tracking bulletproof and spend optimized for ROI/ROAS.

Key Responsibilities
• Media Buying & Execution: Manage end-to-end campaign setup on Meta (our starting platform), with expansion to TikTok and additional channels as the program grows. Ensure flawless technical execution and adherence to naming conventions.
• Technical Optimization: Continuously tune bidding strategies and budget distribution to hit aggressive ROAS targets.
• Data Integrity: Own tracking infrastructure and UTM parameters, ensuring every click and conversion is accurately attributed.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor CTR and CVR trends daily, identify technical friction in the funnel, and bring data-backed campaign concepts to your Creative counterpart.
• Funnel Maintenance: Work with the Creative Specialist to keep traffic routing correctly to custom-built landing pages and tracking signals firing back to the platforms.
• Strategic Collaboration: Act as a strategic peer in the pod, bringing technical wins (e.g., a creative that's scaling and merits iteration) to a daily data-sharing session that shapes the next round of production.

Job Qualifications
• Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on paid social buying, preferably in-house at a publisher or at a performance agency.
• Platform Mastery: Advanced expertise in Meta Ads Manager. Familiarity with TikTok or other paid social platforms is a significant plus.
• Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and AI tools; comfort working with large datasets to find conversion trends and translate them into next steps.
• Affiliate Familiarity: Understanding of affiliate dynamics (EPC, revenue-share models, third-party tracking) is highly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
