Full Job Description
The Role:

As Packaging Program Manager at Ro, you'll own the execution of packaging initiatives, coordinating across functions to move decisions efficiently from concept through implementation.

This is a highly cross-functional and highly visible role that sits at the intersection of operations, product, brand, and quality. You will be responsible for translating business needs into scalable packaging solutions, driving alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities, and ensuring execution against a clear, prioritized roadmap. Success in this role requires the ability to operate in ambiguity, make structured tradeoffs, and drive decisions forward in a fast-moving, multi-stakeholder environment.

You'll work across Pharmacy Operations, Product Development, Corporate Quality, Sourcing, Supply Planning, Brand, Product Marketing, and external vendors to deliver packaging solutions that improve patient experience while supporting operational scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead day-to-day execution of packaging initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Pharmacy Operations, Product Development, Corporate Quality, Brand, Product Marketing, Sourcing, Supply Planning, and external partners.
  • Identify packaging improvement opportunities and develop data-driven business cases and tradeoff recommendations for leadership review.
  • Manage packaging testing, validation, artwork change control, and implementation activities to ensure successful execution.
  • Establish and maintain packaging documentation, specifications, and other governance processes that improve consistency and scalability.
  • Identify and evaluate packaging improvement opportunities, developing business cases and recommendations based on operational, financial, and patient impact.
  • Partner with external packaging suppliers, testing laboratories, and engineering partners to develop, validate, and implement packaging solutions.


What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional programs or projects in supply chain, operations, manufacturing, product commercialization, packaging, or a related field.
  • Experience working with packaging, product commercialization, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, or consumer products is required
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives while keeping stakeholders aligned and projects moving forward.
  • Strong program and project management skills with exceptional organization and follow-through.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting recommendations, tradeoffs, and project updates to cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • A structured, analytical approach to problem-solving with the ability to translate data into practical business recommendations.
  • Experience building operational workflows or driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, testing laboratories, or other external partners.

The target base salary for this position ranges from $122,400 to $140,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.

Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro'ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
