Packaging Engineer
Product Engineer I
UST is searching for a Packaging Engineer; you will serve as Packaging Representative on cross functional teams to plan and coordinate all package engineering related functions related to specification changes.
The opportunity:
• Packaging Specification development, review and implementation
• Working closely with Packaging Suppliers
• Manage Cost Improvement initiatives
• Conduct and manage Packaging Testing
• Initiation and Review of Change Control documentation;
• Writing Technical Justifications
• Must work closely as part of cross-functional team
• External Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Support and Coordinate Packaging Activities:
• Develop and provide necessary documentation for NDP such as Development Plan, Technical Review forum, APR statements, technical memos, etc.
• Work with R&D and Ops to develop any technical validation plans required to initiate specification updates.

What you need:
• 5 - 7 years professional experience.
• BS Degree in Packaging Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Preferred Experience:
• Skin Care, Cosmetics, FDA / GMP experience preferred
• Component Development: Bottles, Tubes, Caps, Closures, Pumps
• Packaging Validation
• Line Trial experience
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Hybrid-NJ
Compensation Range: $71,000-$107,000

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
