Job Description SummaryPartner with the GM of Direct Material Procurement and the P&SM (Procurement & Supplier Management) organization to manage supplier commercial agreements covering over $10B in annual spend. Lead the Commodity Finance team in supporting supplier strategy, including deal underwriting, contract restructuring, contract execution, and supplier issue resolution. This role also drives FLIGHT DECK, standard work, and process improvement across the Commodity Finance organization.
Job DescriptionDeal Management
- Direct Commodity teams on their new deal and restructuring contract performance, monitoring performance against our deal target KPI and quarterly forecasts.
- Accountable to maintain and improve our commercial deal principles and is responsible for ensuring adherence across our Commodity finance team.
- Leads staff in their preparation for sourcing deal review including the standards for Commodity and finance deal preview sessions.
- Partner with Deal Factory Process Owner to ensure the proactive management of new deal underwriting and supplier issue resolution contract proposals.
Contract Management
- Directs staff in the execution of financial requirements related to our supplier agreements.
- Establishes standards and operating rules for contract execution, including preferred transaction methods and timely processing of manual supplier payments.
- Resolve ambiguous issues by partnering across finance and operations and applying best practices.
Process Improvement
- Drive horizontal projects within sourcing finance team to drive process standardization, simplification, and leverage AI to reduce workload and improve performance.
- Leverage analysis & data to support recommendations and provide insight to all commodity operations teams and Sourcing organization.
- Contribute to Sourcing level strategy through key planning cycles (annual strategy & budget processes).
Cross Functional Partnership
- Partner with P&SM FP&A leader on the forecasting of commodity deal outlook including long term planning, quarterly forecasting and risk and opportunity management.
- Collaborate with Controllership to ensure accurate accounting of commodity transactions and compliant commercial structures with suppliers.
- Partner with Commercial Operations, Legal and Controllership on the maintenance of contractual standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in finance/accounting
