Responsibilities

  • Inspect crane components for wear or damage to prevent accidents
  • Perform routine maintenance and replace parts as necessary

Full Job Description
Overhead Crane Technician

MMI is looking to hire a crane technician who has the following qualifications.

  • 3-5 years' experience as an overhead crane technician
  • A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance and/or equivalent military experience
  • Must have 480VAC 3 phase experience
  • Knowledge with electrical controls and VFDs
  • Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Forklift experience
  • Aerial lift experience
  • Ability to work heights
  • The crane technician must possess excellent communication and writing skills
  • Must have a valid state issued driver's license

Pay range: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting equipment to ensure it is in good working order
  • Performing regular maintenance and inspections of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment
  • Installing new cranes and other lifting equipment, wiring and troubleshooting
  • Review records of work performed on equipment to track service history and detect any potential problems before they occur
  • Inspecting crane components for signs of wear or damage in order to identify possible causes of accidents
  • Performing routine maintenance on cranes and replacing parts as needed

Crane technician must be physically able to:

  • Lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 lbs.
  • Stoop, kneel, crawl, lay, bend, squat for long periods of time
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
