Orthopedic Surgery team at
MedStar Washington Hospital Center, a nationally recognized
Level I Trauma Center and leading academic medical center in Washington, D.C.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative orthopedic program, working alongside a team of orthopedic surgeons, residents, and six experienced advanced practice providers in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Position Highlights- Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule, roughly 7 AM to 4 PM
- Daytime hours with an early morning start to accommodate inpatient rounding
- Most time spent outpatient in the clinic
- Small inpatient component, including:
- Morning rounding on orthopedic and trauma patients
- Inpatient orthopedic consultations
- Collaborative practice within a large, experienced APP team
- Opportunity to work in a nationally recognized academic health system with resident physician support
Qualifications- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant
- Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia
- Prior orthopedic surgery, trauma, or inpatient surgical experience strongly preferred
