Full Job Description
We are seeking a System Engineer Staff level engineer who will support the Orion Electrical Test and Verification Team in test, verification and validation of subsystem functionality and complete mission capabilities of the Orion Spacecraft.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Responsible for ensuring a portion of the Orion System is integrated, tested, and verified.
• The candidate ideally has a background in system and/or subsystem test, verification and validation.
• Responsible for creating verification/validation work products and test work products for the Orion Electrical Test and Verification team.
• Responsible for creating and implementing approaches to accomplish Verification of System and Subsystem level requirements. The Verification engineering role includes the following: authoring verification reports using the methods of analysis, inspection, and test.
• Responsible for all aspects of the test lifecycle for multiple procedures that will be executed in the Orion Test Labs: procedure development, script development, test execution, troubleshooting, post-test analysis, test report authorship.
• Willing/able to support test shifts in the Orion Test Labs with occasional evening and weekend shift assignments. The Orion Test Labs operates 7 days per week, 2 shifts per day: 7:00am-4:00pm and 3:30pm-midnight.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or greater in an engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with one or more of the following: system requirements and verification; subsystem requirements and verification; HW/SW integration; HW/SW verification; HW/SW validation; system test; detailed design; system architecture development.
• US Citizenship required to perform this role
Desired skills
• Integrated Hardware and Software Test, Verification and Validation experience at a subsystem or system level.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, at a technical and non-technical level
• Lockheed Martin Test Engineering experience
• Lockheed Martin Certified Test Conductor experience
• Knowledge of the Orion Vehicle and the Artemis Missions
• Experience with NASA as the customer.
• Experience authoring test scripts. Knowledge of Python and/or CCL languages a plus.
• Experience with Automation Framework, Linux, EPDM, and MS Office tools.
• Experience with human spaceflight a plus.
• Proven, effective analytical skills
• Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment and handle complex assignments and re-prioritization of tasks
• Direct / indirect leadership experience
• Quick learner with aptitude for various systems, processes, software tools
• Works effectively independently and as part of a team

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
