Responsibilities

  • Provide Stress Analysis support for structural proof and acceptance testing.
  • Conduct Stress Analysis of composite and metallic parts using classical techniques and finite element models.
  • Support quality non-conformance issues arising from structural testing with Stress Analysis.
  • Perform fatigue and fracture assessments on structural components.
  • Update Stress Analysis Reports and create presentations.
  • Coordinate analysis documentation with NASA customers as needed.

Full Job Description
ASRC Federal is seeking experienced Stress Analyst at Kennedy Space Center, FL.

Responsibilities:

Shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Provide Stress Analysis support to structural proof/acceptance testing, real-time test support, and post-test model correlation.
  • Perform Stress Analysis of composite and metallic structural parts using classical analysis techniques and finite element models.
  • Perform Stress Analysis support for quality non-conformances, including those that may result from structural testing.
  • Perform fatigue and fracture assessment, drawing reviews, Stress Analysis Report updates, analysis presentations, coordinate with NASA customer as necessary and provide deliverable Stress Analysis documentation.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (Mechanical/Aerospace/ Electrical/Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred) and 3-5 years of experience/or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Significant experience with FEMAP and NASTRAN.
  • Experience with analysis of aerospace structures is also required
