Full Job Description
The Order Management Process Owner provides enterprise ownership for AWC's quote-to-order-to-fulfillment process. As AWC prepares for a new ERP environment, this senior-level role will define, prescribe, and govern the business process required to execute order management with minimal friction for customers, team members, and supporting systems. This role builds a foundational understanding of order management processes independent of the ERP used for order entry, then drives process discipline, clear accountability, change management, data quality, and adoption across Sales Operations, Customer Operations, Order Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Support, IT, and PDML.

This is a Hybrid based role the will require frequent presence on site, candidate should live within reasonable commuting distance to either our Deer Park TX or Baton Rouge LA offices.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Own the enterprise quote-to-order-to-fulfillment process model, including workflow standards, decision rights, business rules, controls, governance expectations, and clear accountability for execution.
  • Build and maintain process documentation, workflow maps, requirements, handoff definitions, and operating standards that remain valid
  • Identify and resolve ownership gaps, process friction, data defects, handoff issues, inefficiencies, and operational risks that weaken execution, delay fulfillment, or create customer friction.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Customer Operations, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Order Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Support, IT, PDML, and enterprise data governance to improve workflows, accountability, and customer responsiveness.
  • Prescribe process requirements before ERP configuration decisions are made so the system supports the business with minimal manual intervention, rework, and friction.
  • Lead change management for process improvements, system enhancements, ERP readiness activities, workflow automation, electronic forms, approvals, and exception-management practices tied to order management execution.
  • Develop metrics, reporting, and root-cause insights that translate operational issues into measurable improvements in cycle time, order completeness, release readiness, scalability, and customer outcomes.


Skills you'll need:

  • 8-12+ years of experience in Order Management, Sales Operations, Customer Operations, Business Process Ownership, Operations Excellence, ERP readiness, or related business functions.
  • Strong understanding of quote-to-order, order-to-cash, customer fulfillment, customer responsiveness, workflow handoffs, data quality, controls, and ERP-enabled business processes.
  • Proven ability to own enterprise business processes, establish governance, clarify decision rights, influence senior stakeholders, lead change management, and drive adoption across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience developing process documentation, workflow maps, business requirements, KPIs, operational reporting, exception-management practices, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate operational challenges into scalable process designs and influence teams without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, ERP implementation, workflow automation, industrial distribution, automation, manufacturing, process control, engineered solutions, or similar environments preferred.
