Project Buyer - OR1The Project Buyer is responsible for sourcing, supplier management, and procurement activities supporting new product development and engineering projects. This role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage purchasing activities, and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring materials and services meet project timelines, quality standards, and business objectives. The Project Buyer also supports supplier onboarding, make-versus-buy decisions, new product introductions, and procurement-related change management activities.
Key Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of purchasing, sourcing, procurement, or buyer experience
- Strong SAP or ERP/MRP system experience
- Experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing vendor relationships
- Ability to support technical sourcing activities in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:- 5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience
- Manufacturing, medical device, or engineering industry experience
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
- Experience conducting supplier cost analysis and make-versus-buy evaluations
