OPEX Analyst. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: The Operations Excellence Analyst (OPEX Analyst) is responsible for supporting the Operations Excellence Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager in driving operational excellence and quality improvements across Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division (EESSD). This analyst plays a key role in deploying and maintaining critical quality systems (such as Eaton's Quality Management System (EQMS)) and continuous improvement methodologies (including Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) and other Lean/Six Sigma tools) throughout the organization. The primary function of this role is to analyze quality and process performance data, support the implementation of process standardization initiatives, and facilitate improvement projects that reduce waste, enhance process control, and improve overall efficiency and product/service quality. Working closely with cross-functional teams and the Quality & CI Manager, the OPEX Quality Analyst helps ensure that continuous improvement initiatives are aligned with divisional strategic goals and that quality standards and compliance requirements are met across all regional operations. In this position you will:
  • Support deployment and maintenance of Eaton's Quality Management System (EQMS) and continuous improvement frameworks (CIF, ELSS).
  • Assist with internal and external quality audits; monitor corrective actions and ensure compliance with Eaton and industry standards.
  • Drive process standardization and identify opportunities for operational efficiency and quality improvement.
  • Maintain and improve key quality systems including non-conformance tracking, customer feedback, document control, and asset management
  • Analyze quality and operational data using Power BI; develop dashboards to support data-driven decisions.
  • Lead or support CI projects using methodologies like PDSA, A3, PROLaunch, and Six Sigma DMAIC.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce variation, defects, and waste across processes.
  • Facilitate CI events (e.g., RIEs, Kaizen) and provide analytical support to improvement teams.
  • Train and coach employees on quality tools and CI methodologies to build a culture of operational excellence.
  • Promote best practice sharing across the division and Eaton's global network.
  • Support cost-out initiatives by tracking savings and contributing to productivity goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders and departments to align CI efforts with business needs.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality, operations, or continuous improvement roles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean and Six Sigma projects or other continuous improvement initiatives is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., Enterprise Quality Management System (EQMS) and ISO 9001 standards)
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools, especially Microsoft Power BI, to analyze quality data and present performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Pareto analysis, root cause analysis, control charts, Minitab or similar)
  • Experience with process documentation and standard work development.
