What you’ll be doing...
As an Executive Operations Support and Chief of Staff Senior Manager, you will be a key strategic partner to the VP of B2B West within Verizon Business Group. You will provide essential support to senior leadership and collaborate daily with cross-functional teams to align organizational initiatives, actions, and resources with our business objectives.
This role requires a deep understanding of business needs and the ability to track progress, identify challenges, and develop innovative solutions. You will also provide executive-level communications support, ensuring clear and effective messaging.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop executive presentations for internal and external meetings including Group Review’s, staff meetings, All Hands, speaking engagements, etc. This requires very strong communication skills, messaging, storytelling and ability to think strategically.
- Manage agendas, communication and meeting materials for all leadership and VP staff meetings site visits, webcasts, roundtables and town hall events.
- Create and manage team communications that drive engagement and a connection to business results and priorities.
- Develop ideas, act as a sounding board, and be proactive regarding what needs to be done and when.
- Help leaders prioritize their tasks and appointments.
- Build executable strategies that drive customer and revenue growth through initiatives that meet the needs of the VP and deliver a customer-centric experience.
- Manage and track organization headcount and staffing (including contractors) to meet financial targets.
- Identify opportunities and develop strategies to drive employee engagement and recognition, including volunteering, Pulse Survey analysis and action planning,
- Design and develop programs that drive operational excellence across the respective organization, including process improvements, talent transformation and development, and working with HR business partners.
- Ensure initiative integration with consumer centric, mobile first, and digital initiatives.
- Evaluate reporting needs, pull data, and analyze information / results as needed for the area and make recommendations.
- Handle the budget cycle process and help managers to prepare their budget; monthly and quarterly budget reviews details for each organization.
- Develop mitigation plans to ensure budget targets (including revised targets) are met.
- Support/review the business case development process for strategic programs part of business transformation; coordination with initiative owner
- Support, as needed, with on-site meetings, partner meetings and other internal or external events. This includes preparing your supported team with knowledge of key external individuals participating in the meeting or event or preparing your supported team for external presentations or engagements.
- Maintain consistent alignment with the Executive Administrative Assistants that support your assigned executives to ensure your supported leaders are enabled to be in the right places at the right time supported by the right information and materials.

You'll need to have:
- Bachelor degree or four or more years of experience
- Six or more years of leadership experience in operations, communications, project management or customer service
- Effective communication (verbal/written) skills; to include extensive experience producing and delivering presentations to all levels of management across the organization
- Proven ability to create short and long term strategies
- Strategic and analytical thinker who can analyze data to make appropriate process/business decisions/recommendations and shape business strategy
- Demonstrated team player and leader who can effectively handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Degree in Business, Marketing or Project Management
- Electronic presentation, communication, and leadership skills
- Project management experience
- Exceptional PC skills with Google docs, Advanced PowerPoint and Excel, Word, Access
- Prior experience in reporting & analytics or operational role
- Strong understanding of analytics, with exceptional presentation and organizational skills
- Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Experience leading cross functional teams and maintaining accountability for major business initiatives

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $98,500.00 - $188,000.00.
The annual salary range for the Illinois location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $108,000.00 - $188,000.00.
