What You'll DoAs a Supervisor, you'll lead the day-to-day activities of our residential collection operation by:
- Supervising CDL Drivers and daily route operations.
- Coaching employees to improve safety, productivity, and customer service.
- Conducting ride-alongs and field observations.
- Leading safety meetings and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Monitoring route performance and labor efficiency.
- Investigating accidents and completing incident documentation.
- Responding to customer concerns and resolving service issues.
- Coordinating vehicle repairs with the maintenance department.
- Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees.
- Conducting performance reviews and providing coaching and accountability.
- Ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Assisting with route coverage and operating commercial vehicles when necessary.

Qualifications- Three or more years of supervisory experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, construction, waste, or another field operations environment.
OR- Associate degree with at least two years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or operations.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous operations or transportation leadership experience
- Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
- Strong leadership and employee development skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
CDL Requirement - A Florida Class A or Class B CDL is preferred. If you do not currently possess a CDL, Waste Pro will provide the opportunity for you to obtain one within three months of hire.
Work Environment This is an active, field-based leadership position that includes:
- Working outdoors throughout the day
- Conducting route observations
- Walking job sites and collection routes
- Occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- Driving company vehicles
- Supporting operations during emergencies, weather events, and occasional weekends or holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Requires a High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the transportation, management, logistics or waste industry; or
* Associate's Degree or minimum of 2 years experience in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations in which coaching, routing assessments and supervising employees are requirements of the role.
* Knowledge and prior application of Smith System and/or Decision Driving principles and techniques.
* Basic computer skills and general knowledge of Microsoft applications.
* Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
* Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, ANSI and other related federal, state & local regulations.
* Valid class A or B commercial driver's license (or ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire) with a personal and business driving record that meets Waste Pro standards and insurance requirements.
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
* Proven customer service skills.
* Must be able to work independently make decisions and resolve problems.
* Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and be available to address operational issues by phone at all times.
* Ability to maintain and portray a positive attitude towards staff and customers.
* Knowledge of first aid techniques helpful.
