Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily assignments for the electrical crew to maximize performance and efficiency.
  • Organize and assign work while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.
  • Continuously seek to improve operations and streamline processes in collaboration with multi-trade Supervisors.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to safe work practices, following verbal and written instructions.
  • Effectively communicate with subordinates and supervisors both orally and in writing.
  • Set, assign, and measure production goals, mentoring and holding crew accountable.

Overview

The Operations Supervisor for Electrical is responsible for supervising the daily activities of predominantly an electrical crew. Must possess an energetic and positive attitude and be willing to change and develop as requirements of assigned tasks dictate.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for daily assignments and overall coordination of employees to ensure maximum performance, efficiency and quality of functions
  • Ability to effectively organize and assign work to hourly employees such that safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives are met
  • Must demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, reduce work order span times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively with other multi-trade Supervisors on the team to provide first time quality on time
  • Must have knowledge of safe work practices; ability to comprehend and follow or issue verbal and /or written instructions; willing to work as necessary to support production needs
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with subordinates and supervisors.
  • Must have the ability to set, assign, and measure daily production goals, instruct, mentor, motivate crew and hold crew members accountable as required

This position is to support 2nd shift.

 

This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Must meet one of the following:

  • 1 plus years of Electrical experience at EB
  • Minimum of 3 year combined relevant experience and leadership experience in a high-volume setting
  • Must be available to work all shifts, including extended hours, weekends or holidays as business needs dictate
  • Must possess strong PC skills including proficiency with the MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense

Preferred:

  • Supervisory/leadership experience
  • 5+ years electrical experience
  • Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs
  • Relevant education or training
  • Proficiency in blueprint and drawing interpretation
  • MDU 
  • Navy/military

  • Good organizational, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with various levels of employees in the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
