About The Role
The Operations Strategy Program Manager will be responsible for helping develop and overseeing the improvement roadmap through The RealReal's Fulfillment, Transportation, and Inventory Control operations. They will have a full understanding of how all roadmap initiatives impact operations and connect together, and contribute strategic input in their planning and execution. This will be achieved by learning and solving for operational needs, and maintaining close relationships with stakeholders from cross-functional departments and outside partners to deliver the solutions.

  • Strategic Planning - Lead the development and implementation of short and long-term strategies that align with the company's core objectives. Help define the roadmap and propose priorities.
  • Project Oversight - Coordinate across multiple project teams, ensuring goals are reached, deadlines are met, and interdependencies are successfully managed.
  • Budget & Resource Management - Help prepare and monitor, and at times actively manage project budgets. Define and manage necessary labor and time resources to execute solutions as well.
  • Risk Mitigation - Identify potential risks and issues that could impact solutions' delivery, developing proactive contingency and risk management plans.
  • Performance Tracking - Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives and adjust plans as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication - Serve as the primary contact between teams, senior management, and external stakeholders, providing regular status updates and performance reports.
  • Presentation - Effectively communicate strategy and progress, and answer related questions to audiences ranging up to executive management level.


What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years in program and strategy management preferably in a warehousing operations environment.
  • An understanding of operations, preferably in warehouse batching, picking, putaway, handling exceptions, inventory control, and transportation.
  • An understanding of warehousing systems (WMS, WES, conveyor and sortation MHE, put walls, and automated packaging) and the interactions between them.
  • Ability to analyze datasets and build planning models to support recommendations.
  • Ability to help implement systematic and operational changes, and assist in training to the new flow.
  • Ability to understand and prioritize the impact of system and operational gaps and bottlenecks.
  • Relationship management, organizational planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to track multiple active projects and their connected dependencies, as well as the connections of past and future projects.
  • Ability to influence clients, suppliers, and peers into adopting Best Practices.
  • Desire for continuous improvement - Improving operations efficiencies by identifying systematic and process changes.
  • Excellent communication skills- Verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal with the ability to transfer knowledge to others.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Working within or supporting a distribution center, or related large-scale logistics-related operations setting
  • Using and troubleshooting systems typical to large-scale warehousing & logistics-related operations
  • Working with both technical and operational teams to achieve change
  • Knowledge of messaging/interfacing between warehousing systems
  • Experience using COFE WES, Manhattan PKMS, or other WMS systems
  • Experience using Android and iOS-based handheld production devices
  • Experience with DC operations management or WMS implementations


Compensation, Benefits, + Perks

The expected salary range for this role is $110,000.00-$120,000.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR's total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
