Qualifications

Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support & Reliability

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues affecting plant and control room SCADA systems, OT infrastructure, communication networks, and operational data systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis of system failures, communication issues, data quality concerns, and operational incidents.
  • Support operations teams in restoring service and resolving OT issues through remote troubleshooting and onsite support as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, maintainability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support lifecycle planning and obsolescence management of SCADA and OT assets.


Fleet Improvement & Standardization

  • Develop and deploy standardized SCADA, HMI, alarm management, reporting, and OT solutions across the fleet.
  • Lead or support strategic initiatives aimed at improving reliability, consistency, operational efficiency, maintainability, and cybersecurity.
  • Support modernization and technology refresh programs for OT systems and infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain SCADA standards, documentation, and support practices.


Project & Engineering Support

  • Support the configuration, testing, deployment, and modification of SCADA systems associated with operational improvement projects, upgrade, and obsolescence initiatives.
  • Provide OT expertise to Engineering, Asset Management, Operations, and EPC contractors during project execution, commissioning, and handover activities.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, automation/controls engineering, or a related technical discipline.


Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience supporting, maintaining, configuring, or implementing SCADA and OT systems in power generation, utilities, industrial automation, or similar critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience configuring and developing Inductive Automation Ignition based systems and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) RTAC RTUs is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with scripting, automation, data integration, or software development concepts is preferred.
  • Experience with wind, solar, or hydro renewable power generation is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of SCADA architectures, communication systems, OT networking, and system integration principles.
  • Ability to support operational systems while leading reliability, standardization, modernization, and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with operations, engineering, vendors, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Sound judgement, ownership, and ability to manage competing operational and project priorities.
