Position SummaryEthic Tech, LLC is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to assist with building and automating business applications and processes to streamline operations and enabling actionable insights for a major Government entity managing installation and facility data types at the headquarters level. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint and the platform architecture behind the Army's Enterprise Sustainment Management System (E-SMS), specifically the BUILDER platform. The candidate should also have a strong background in data analysis, dashboard creation, and business process automation.
This is a remote position but may include support on site to Military Installations to finalize any problems that cannot be managed through tele/video communications systems. Travel to locations inside and outside of the Continental United States may be required with advance notification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive BI solutions using Power BI to provide real-time reporting, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
- Develop and automate workflows using Power Automate to streamline and optimize business processes.
- Build and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps to solve business challenges and enhance productivity.
- Integrate and customize SharePoint solutions to support business collaboration, document management, and process automation.
- Maintain and optimize existing Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Work closely with our external partners' data engineers, database administrators, and IT teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.
- Support end users by providing training and ongoing technical assistance for Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint tools.
- Perform data analysis, cleansing, and transformation from various sources to ensure data quality and reliability.
- Continuously monitor BI system performance, identifying and addressing potential issues or bottlenecks.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint to recommend enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Power BI development, including DAX queries, Power Query, data modeling, and custom visuals.
- Must be able to gain and maintain access to a military installation and military automation.
- Strong proficiency in Power Apps development, including Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
- Extensive experience with Power Automate to design and implement automated workflows.
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint development and customization, including integration with Power Platform tools.
- Experience in ETL processes, data integration, and data transformation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications- Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Power Platform, Azure, Fabric or SharePoint are highly desirable.
- Experience in managing and securing data access and permissions in SharePoint and Power BI.
- Project Management experience is a plus.
- Possession of current NACI or Secret Clearance a plus.
