Chipton-Ross is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Candidate must have at least 2 years of GD&T Experience
  • Candidate must have at least 2 years of SAP Experience
  • Candidate must have at least 2 years of APRISO Experience
  • Candidate must have at least 2 years of Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Candidate must have at least 2 years of Presentation experience.
  • Candidate must have at least 2 years of conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The position requires quality engineering experience with an emphasis on electrical, optical, mechanical component assembly and integration testing.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions/procedures for the inspection and test of manufactured and procured products
  • Designing and analyzing inspection/test processes, mechanisms, and equipment
  • Evaluating product tests results, performing statistical analysis to assess risk on products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
  • Leads and / or participates on Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations.
  • Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards.
  • Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods.
  • Ensures effective corrective/preventive action to improve processes.
  • Performs special process assessments and audits procedures to ensure compliance to technical specifications, and ISO-9001 / AS9100 Industry standards.
  • Interfaces with customers, program personnel on quality related issues.
  • Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

  • Manufacturing Environment Experience
  • Green or Black Belt Certification
  • AS9102 interpretation and application experience
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • First Article Inspection experience
  • Optics Experience


REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree from in a STEM related discipline with 2 or more years of professional experience, 0 years of experience with Master's degree, or equivalent combined experience/education


WORK HOURS

  • 4/10-1st Shift
