Salary Range: $101,000 To $120,000 Annually
The OpportunityThe Operations Product Manager is responsible for the product management and support of applications and reporting that impact franchisees and salon operations. This includes collaborating in internal committees and task forces, partnership with other departments to define business requirements and determine priorities and roadmaps, developing and implementing communication and launch plans, and providing product education and support. Product Managers are the bridge between business strategy and product execution, partnering with stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve the experience for franchisees, salon teams, and customers.
Your Mission As the Operations Product Manager, you will be on a mission to bring relevant functionality, solutions, and insights for operations applications, reporting, and the advanced scheduler, and in partnership with the Director of Operations Applications you will ensure these products, resources and education drive growth and enable brand delivery within Great Clips. This will be accomplished through collaboration with Operations, franchisees, and internal GCI teams, and ensuring integration of data, functionality, metrics, and roadmaps across owned products.
On your journey, you will face challenges such as:
- Executing product management activities for enhancements, new functionality, and solutions within owned products (Styleware™ Suite, Salon Special Hours Tool, and Online Check-In) by developing plans and concepts, partnering with internal cross-functional teams, participating in franchisee committees, collaborating on roadmaps and priorities, providing operations input to requirements, conducting UAT, and developing and implementing education, launch, and change management plans.
- Executing product management activities for enhancements, new functionality, reports, and solutions within franchisee reporting tools (Salondata, My Reports, Franchisee Operations PBI Reports, Customer Address Quality, SPOTR) by developing plans and concepts, collaborating on roadmaps and priorities, providing operations input to requirements, ensuring data, metrics, functionality, and roadmaps are connected across applications and reporting, conducting UAT, providing support, and developing and implementing education, launch, and change management plans.
- Executing product management activities for enhancements, new functionality, reports, and solutions for the Advanced Scheduler through partnership with Data Science on Predictive Model priorities and enhancements, alignment with Scheduler App, SSHT, and reporting enhancements, conducting UAT, and developing education, launch, and communications.
- Gaining an understanding of franchisees and their salon staff's needs through building relationships, participating in committees, and conducting user research.
- Identifying opportunities and recommending innovative product improvements in partnership with the Director of Operations Applications.
- Partnering with Operations, the technology teams, and vendors to develop new and enhance existing products.
- Develop user documentation and training to empower product users.
- Maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog in partnership with the Director of Operations Applications and Technology teams, ensuring work is organized, refined, aligned to business priorities, and ready for development.
- Coordinating release readiness by ensuring documentation, communications, training, and support materials are complete prior to launch.
- Delivering presentations that support product launches, education, training, adoption, and other key product messages.
- Working with the other members of the Operations team to create best practices and processes for stakeholders across the company.
- Ability to listen, earn trust, and accept direct feedback from franchisees while building strong, positive relationships.
Your ExpertiseWhether you've already held positions as a technical product manager or have been involved with driving the direction of digital products in some other capacity, to land this job you will need to show your proven ability to:
- Bachelor's degree in business, product management, operations or related field is preferred. 6+ years' experience in product management, POS management, or operations or 10+ years of equivalent experience. Experience in the Retail sector, Franchise organizations a plus.
- Support product development initiatives through planning, execution, and launch in alignment with established product strategy.
- Use both business and technology acumen to effectively support product strategies and roadmaps.
- Think creatively and innovate.
- Organize ideas and prioritize initiatives with consideration of competing priorities and resource capacity.
- Collaborate with technology teams with a strong understanding and ability to follow SDLC processes.
- Understand technology concepts and "what it takes" to develop technology solutions.
- Close the communication gap between technical teams and non-technical departments with strong communication skills.
- Listen to others and derive their operations and technology needs.
- Influence others with your ideas.
- Stay on top of developments and trends within operations technology and the marketplace.
Your Work Environment This is a hybrid work position requiring a combination of three in-office workdays and the option to work from home on the remaining days. Working remotely will require reliable, secure internet.
