Full Job Description
Job Purpose

The Operations Manager owns the guest journey on the floor driving execution, service quality, and team performance every shift. This role ensures Puttery's standards are delivered with consistency, efficiency, and creativity across multiple departments. They support management direction while leading the team through high-volume moments, real-time decision-making, and a relentless focus on guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shift-to-shift operations and ensure full readiness across F&B, gaming, retail, and guest services.
  • Maintain clear oversight of staffing, service flow, cleanliness, and venue presentation.
  • Adjust and communicate priorities in real time during peak volume and events.
  • Ensure safety protocols, food-handling standards, and facility checks are completed and documented.
  • Supervise and coach hourly employees and shift leads to uphold brand expectations.
  • Reinforce accountability through consistent follow-up, feedback, and performance management.
  • Assist in onboarding, skills development, and cross-training to strengthen team versatility.
  • Support a positive culture that drives high morale, trust, and retention.
  • Actively monitor guest needs and step in quickly to resolve service issues.
  • Champion service rituals that create memorable, on-brand experiences.
  • Collect feedback and share insights with leadership to refine operations and training.
  • Support labor scheduling and productivity oversight for assigned shifts.
  • Execute inventory controls including counts, waste reduction, and product stewardship.
  • Protect company assets through responsible cash handling and loss-prevention behavior
  • Serve as the communication link between hourly teams and management.
  • Prepare shift reports and provide insights to AGMs/GMs regarding challenges and improvements.
  • Collaborate with bar, kitchen, maintenance, and sales teams to ensure smooth execution of events and high-traffic nights.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hospitality, nightlife, or food & beverage leadership experience in high-volume environments.
  • Skilled at managing and motivating teams under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Strong decision-making and conflict-resolution skills with a guest-first approach.
  • Capable of interpreting basic performance metrics such as labor usage and inventory accuracy.
  • Proficient with POS systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays in alignment with business demands.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Professional presence with strong verbal and written communication.
