Ruskin, a subsidiary of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking an Operations Manager - Air Systems Components to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across the business segment. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved while driving operational consistency, continuous improvement, and employee engagement across manufacturing operations. This position has direct supervision of assigned employees.
The Operations Manager partners closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Plant Leadership to deliver operational excellence and support business growth.
What You'll Do:- Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and customer demand.
- Allocate and optimize resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and throughput.
- Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost using Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Develop and execute operating plans, including process improvements and capital project initiatives.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment on operational priorities and objectives.
- Monitor key operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions to address gaps.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Champion employee development, engagement, and training to build a strong leadership pipeline and high-performing teams.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration across departments and shifts.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
What We're Looking For:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of progressive manufacturing operations experience, including leadership of multi-shift teams.
- Demonstrated success driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance in a plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to analyze operational data and translate insights into effective action plans.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Preferred:- Formal training in problem-solving, Lean, or operational excellence methodologies.
- Experience leading capital projects from concept through implementation.
- Familiarity with safety programs and regulatory compliance standards.
Work Environment: The work environment includes exposure to a manufacturing setting with moderate noise levels. This role requires frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
