Summary

This position is located in Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS) and is responsible for handling various complex and sensitive matters for the Division including matters involving financial and budget management, human resource management, space and facilities management, and other administrative advisory services to over 300 RMS headquarters employees.

Duties

Help

  • Independently, analyzes issues affecting Operations Branch and Division programs, develops options and recommendations for management consideration, and coordinates actions to support implementation of leadership priorities.
  • Plans and participates in studies and analyses involving strategic operations, organizational effectiveness, and human capital matters.
  • Coordinates and prepares meeting and conference budget-related information and requests and obtains necessary approvals for these events. Performs reconciliation of budgeted expenses to actual expenses and prepares summaries for review.
  • Provides direct staff support to the Director on operational, organizational, workforce, and other management matters. Coordinates complex or sensitive matters requiring the Director's attention and works with Division executives and staff to obtain information, identify and address issues, and facilitate timely action.
  • Independently prepares and reviews briefing materials, decision documents, reports, presentations, and other materials for the Director, Deputy Direct Directors, and other senior Division officials.
  • Develops work plans and milestones, coordinates activities involving multiple organizational components, identifies issues requiring management attention, and provides recommendations and status information to leadership.
  • Supports large, cross-functional operational projects for the Division, including corporate records management initiatives, office relocation and space-management projects, and maintaining effective coordination with stakeholders.
  • Tracks and analyzes travel expenditures for RMS, including travel authorizations, vouchers, corporate card activity, and travel trends.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience is credited from private and public sectors, including paid and unpaid service (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps). Volunteer service builds competencies that translate to paid work. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience. See OPM's General Schedule Qualification Standards for details.

CG-13: Applicants must complete one year of specialized experience equivalent to the CG-12 level or above in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:

  • Supporting cross functional projects that involve multiple stakeholders and require development of project plans, milestone tracking, and executive level reporting;
  • Monitoring and analyzing expenses such as awards, recruitment incentives, travel expenditures, or procurement activities to support workforce planning and budget oversight; AND
  • Preparing, reviewing, or organizing briefing materials, reports, presentations, or decision documents for senior leadership.
