Full Job Description
Title: Operations Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Independence, MO

Salary: $77,000 - $86,000, depending on experience
Schedule: 4 - 10 hour shifts, with overtime as needed. Weekdays

Focus: The Operations Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities within an organization. This role involves supervising a team of maintenance staff, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. The Operations Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in minimizing equipment downtime, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all facility systems.

Operations Maintenance Supervisor Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead, motivate, supervise, and provide guidance and training to the maintenance staff while fostering leadership development.
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks to ensure timely completion, covering HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to address maintenance issues, respond to emergencies, and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and prolong asset life.
  • Analyze performance data with cross-functional teams to improve equipment life, operational efficiency, and cost reduction, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with US Government representatives, regularly communicating Winchester's Lake City Maintenance Performance Metrics.

Operations Maintenance Supervisor Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years relevant operations maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workload, multiple tasks, shift demands, and willingness to collaborate and support team efforts.
  • Superior analytical, organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), presentation, and facilitation skills.

Location-Specific Requirements:
  • Must have a valid US Driver's License.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required.
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
