Job title: Operations & Sales Manager

Location: Chicago, IL

Job Overview:

The Operations & Sales Manager is responsible for the day to day operational and commercial growth of the Chicago manufacturing facility (50+ employees, ~$12M annual revenue). This role serves as the onsite Plant Leader, accountable for safety, quality, delivery, cost, people leadership, and customer execution.

The Operations & Sales Manager executes operational strategies and standardized operating practices established by the Multisite Operations Manager, while providing strong hands-on leadership to ensure consistent performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role is critical to enabling effective multisite leverage while maintaining strong site level execution. This role has direct responsibility for driving revenue expansion, improving profitability, and developing new business.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People) targets.
  • Ensure on-time productions while meeting quality, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Align production schedules, materials, and customer demand across the site.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant work environment (OSHA, EHS, environmental standards).
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement and cost reduction actions.
  • Own site revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution.
  • Partner with Sales and leadership on business development, demand planning, and quoting.
  • Manage site financial performance, including budget, costs, and CAPEX execution.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team and culture, ensuring alignment with multi-site strategy and governance.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • 7+ years of experience leading operations in a manufacturing environment with 20+ employees.
  • 5+ years of strong financial acumen with experience managing site level P&L, labor models, and budgets.
  • 4+ years working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.

Preferences:
  • Bachelors in technical or engineering discipline preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Site Leader, Plant Manager, or Senior Operations Manager.
  • Experience supporting customer interactions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent practical experience.


Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
  • This position will be based at our Chicago, IL location, with minimal anticipated travel.


The pay range for this role is $100-150k, excluding incentive opportunities. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
